Then in fall 2023 in New Hampshire, candidate Trump said during a Veteran’s Day speech: “We will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country, that lie and steal and cheat on elections.” He is not “projecting,” even though he is accurately describing the history of the conservative confederate MAGA movement in the Jim Crow South since the Civil War. He is talking about Negro Rule, Africanization, black American voters “stealing” the vote away from white Americans, turning America into Africa. The “Vermin” isn’t a reference to Jews in Germany; it’s a reference to American history in the Jim Crow South, an ideology spread to Germany, not taken from it.
