You always give me food for thought, Antoun.

But I gotta say, Muslims have a lot to answer for... I was in shock about the Palestinian origin nurse in the UAE, who wept on my shoulders adn said, if she and her husband lost their jobs, and di not find another within 30 days, they could face deportation back to their grandfather's land of birth. meaning, they had no passport for the UA, despite being 3rd generation residents of the UAE, adn contributing to establishing that country from a land of fishing Bedouins , to the glitterati of Dubai, but infested with a racism worse than the British, who at least do issue passports for those born in its dominion (however socially othering relations might be - and often are).
