Yes, spot on - the Irish have been oppressed and exploited, invaded, occupied and Otherised... so those with an awareness of this heritage, behave very differently from the stock of Whyte English people in the educational institutions I've worked /studied in... On the global stage too, Irish people as a nation stand beside the oppressed as they have for Palestine.
