Yes indeed, it goes totally against the grain of everything we are taught about motherhood, that our own mother can feel so insecure that she is jealous of us, instead of celebrating our successes... that is hard to process and even harder to even recognise in the first place. I wish you comfort on your healing journey and in my experience, why helps is the deep realisation that it's not personal - others' weaknesses are just that - weaknesses.
