Yes, I remember readin a book called 'Aliens and Alienists', which was about how th eeffects of racism and 'othering', can lead to emotional distress, which th e White defined and dominated professions of psychological services/psychiatry', than mis-name as bipoloar, etc etc. I decided then (I was 17 or so) if I'm ever distressed I will sort myself out rather than be given a lable that gives control of me to others.
