With respect, may I add that It is vital we do not use the oppressor's language to describe our reality.

But it is also very very difficult to be constant in maintaining such a clarity, when we are surrounded by a cacophony of voices form multiple sources, repeating the same damn lies - especially when they are couched in the cloak of a fake neutrality.

It's also very hard to be collating a massive number of facts and when our attention is on composing a narrative, we can easily lose sight of nuances of which vocabulary we are using and whose it really is.

That’s why a pair of ‘fresh eyes’ are employed by publishers, even after they have done various rounds of editing a writer’s work.
