While I understand your perspective on Russia has to be coloured by the experience of the USSR, from the viewpoint of resisting NATO-backed imperialism of the USA, just as the UA would not tolerate Cuba having weaponry so close to their borders, the same is the case for Russia. hasn't the USA broken many treaties about not pushing NATO close to Russia's borders?
