What a rare and superbly intelligent approach, that requires deep, original thinking and a moral compass sparkling with courage that so very few have! I have been shunned, shamed and treated with much disrespect, condescension, simply for refusing marriage and motherhood. In Muslim culture, to disobey one's parents and the Prophet, who said marriage and procreating, while being obedient and always available to their husband, is the way for women to get to heaven, is a very rare occurrence. I live in the UK and honestly, the mainstream culture is no less compulsively attached to pushing coupledom and child-bearing. You are still seen as incomplete or somehow less mature, whereas to think for yourself and be courageous in the face of our mortality, while committing to making the world a better place for the children already existing, is surely more admirable.
