We have our share of greedy, grasping, malicious people there's probably one or two in every family... but there is an ethic of generosity and kindness expressed through hospitality that Westrners always comment on - they enjoy local people in the Global Soth opening their homes, to them, offering tea and advice but... when those same Westerners come home - do they treat anyone with that same courtesy and kindness?
