To me, given the current social, political and climate realities, women need to hold off making more babies and instead, we need to look after (adopt/foster) the children already here, who have been abandoned. That would show true love. The current path to parenthood seems to be mostly blind and utterly selfish (for those who are actively making a choice to have children). My poor student was in the terrible position of being forced to bear children - and then have the responsibility for their care, with a man who was not a provider. but a good-for-nothing leech.

Being a relative means we are affected by others' decisions eg my sister in law, self harming, but determined to have four children no matter what ( she had decided that during her loneliness as an only child). I love Judge Judy as she often tells off such weak, self-absorbed people who seem to get a sense of power from giving birth.
