…ing with proof of relentlessly optimistic stories and how a positive attitude shapes one’s destiny. For one, we’ve heard Thomas Edison, the genius inventor of the last century, exclaim in a childlike glee — “The light bulb was an invention that needed 1,000 steps.” when someone asked him what it felt like when he failed 999 times.
Thomas Edison is not a good example of an optimit, but he is a good example of a greedy manipulative business man. The shameful fact is that he preyed on the genius of Niolai Tesla and stole his work. Tesla was vulnerable as a recent immigrant to the USA,, and Edison took advantage of him. Please, I understand the misrepresentaiton about Edison is widespread so all the more necessary to corect the misguided admiration, based on falsehoods that this deplorable opportunist perpetuated.
