Smotrich doesn’t appear to be an ‘old head’, but his narrative is certainly old, and wrong. His statement that, “There is no such thing as a Palestinian nation” is absolutely WRONG. If you check out maps of the area that were printed and published prior to 1947, you will see that the land was called Palestine, not Israel. I still remember my Sunday School lessons depicting that land as Palestine, as well as stories about Palestinian people. I have a great memory, and I remember a picture map in my Bible that showed the region as Palestine. There was no mention of Israel on that map.
