It speaks to my experience in romantic, work and family situations in all of which I sought to challenge the stereotypes around what I as an Indian, Muslim heritage woman was supposed to do or not do. 'Cultural gaslighting' in particular, is such a helpful concept with which to uncover systematic moves to undermine, validate and indeed, bury the truths I have sought to live by... when these truths reveal the wrongdoing of others, you can bet your bottom dollar those others will seek to silence and confuse you, till eventually you feel buried alive.
