So I forgave myself for my primal screeching, which eventually evolved into writing. I am now able to translate what I was saying at that time, “I’m in pain. I’m lost. I’m human, but I’m not being treated as such.”

Bravo and kudos to you for your immense courage, focus, and determination to be able to arrive at articulating the pain of an inhuman society where we as black women/women of colour, are denied recognition and affirmation on so may levels.
