This is maybe just sheer opportunism ... I mean, the type of people who go somewhere, and espouse an ideology just to get the benefits, and then as they see less benefit, they fly away.

What I want to gave prominence to, are those people /nations actively opposing the prevailing narrative and doing so at some risk of blowback as individuals or on the global stage.
