Some people have asked why I didn’t act immediately. It’s mainly because only with hindsight do you join the dots and things become clear.

Since that situation, I have always acted immediately, seeking advice and informing relevant authorities. But I suppose you won’t be surprised that hardly any manager wanted to touch any situation of domestic violence. In several other situations, I was yelled at and told, ‘just teach’!
