There is something about the Western mindset which we have all absorbed perhaps to varying degrees, but it has got us, because it is the prevailing hegemony... it is a dividing, individualising spitting off, into isolating units of weakness, kind of a hegemony...

Alone, we are so weak. Existentially speaking, it feels terrifying... how to build up the shredded consciousness into a feeling of unifying wholeness?

As I reread Leif's so powerful words of pain and frustration, I am reminded of my mother's tapestry ; her making a mat, from individual threads - each one alone, has very little significance, but woven with many others, a pattern emerges... the threads together, become a manifestation of form and function.

I believe we need community as our body needs the various organs to work together, to be a functioning organism.

Earlier today, I was reading Noora's article which mentions the way European powers have always sought to divide, in order to rule... It seems to me, that is the motion we need to reverse. I can't stop it, reverse it, as a lone individual; but finding shared purpose, with enough of us, we surely can.
