As the only white person at my work, I’ve realized that I can sometimes advocate for our staff and clients in ways that a person of color might not feel as comfortable doing — not because they can’t, but because their risk is greater. But I’m not alone in this. We are all learning, all figuring out how to fight for each other in a world that wants us scared.
The Streets are Silent. The Fear is Deafening.
