The moment someone says they are apolitical, it just about ALWAYS means they are sitting comfortably in the shade coolness of oppression.

On reflection I think its better to go up and do your thing... rather than give them the space to claim an apolitical veneer.

it never occurs to me to ask for clarification/ gain permission', and that comes with its own dangers of course.
