The Love U Withhold

Where does it go,

The Love U withhold

The Beacon of Light, that splutters and spews

In the catty remark, that’s meant to cut?

Those eyes, mirrors of the soul, they say,

Those eyes that refuse to look, day after day?

Where does it go,

The Love u withhold,

The silence you hurl,

More scary than a snakes’ slither and hiss

At my throat, so I choke,

And my inner glow, dampens into smoke, night after night

Where does it go

The Love U withhold

With your closed-up arms, while the open palms of your Inner Child

Have folded and frozen into fists?

And there goes your suspicious mind, running rings around mine

Time after time after time?

The Love U withhold

Becomes Hate that you cradle

Now see how it’s soured and curdled!

Your windows have got shuttered

Your doors are all closed

Mould grows, mice scuffle,

The central beams bow

And all your bricks, have

Crumbled.
