I wonder if we hanker after what we missed adnmaybe even idealise it in deep ways? There are plenty of mothers not er loving to their daughters and who even treat them as a burden.

I hope you can celebrate your bond with your son and not use willpower to stay in the present, with him... TEH philosopher Mary Daly said under patriarchy, daughters are unmothered... IN the South Asian context, if there is a shortage of food, it is the daughters who are not fed, the sons will eat their fill.
