That has nothing to do with the manner in which you analyse and bring your learning to bear on the actual lived realities of young people who may not have access to the time , safety, resources that you do. Leaders do not drop fully from out of the sky, but develop through a culture that involves reasoning and dialogue about the realities we are facing. isn't that what 'Ijtihad' is about? Texts from ancient times need to be interpreted in the light of present circumstances. Not to do so is actually an act of cowardice.
