Do you know that if you leave one or two claps it shows disapproval and contempt ? You can give up to 50 claps on an article or a comment... As you say you are new to Medium, I am giving you the benefit of the doubt. But otherwise I usually block people who leave one or two claps.

I think people should show some respect and appreciation for a writer's effort/research etc, even if they don't agree with every point made. Don't you?
