Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this detailed response. I will definitely read it carefully.

Certainly, you have FAR more in-depth familiarity with the people/leaders and events of the region than I do. I grew up in the UK so I definitely have always had to make conscious efforts to locate reliable sources of information and knowledge that are not reflective of the prevailing colonial narratives.

BTW, please note that I have no familial connection with Iran or any other nation states in the region. My perspective is seeing the horrific levels of slaughter occurring in the whole 'Middle East' perpetrated by the Western powers who seem to get away with slaughter of innocents all the time.

You could say my connection to India -Pakistan, ( where my family originate) is also quite tenuous as I only went there once for a 3 week period.

I am in a deep dive re my mother's care these days - thank you so much for your kind wishes.

I am looking forward to having some free time to give to understanding your perspective and will get back to you.

Please feel free to write up your comment as an article so that your perspective has a wider reach. I think it's very good and necessary to have dialogue and through that, people of goodwill can learn and grow and find or rather, build the common ground, from which we can seek to make a positive difference.

All good wishes to you and yours .
