Thank you Rhea... you are spot on because though I did not mention this in the article, nobody had any concern for whether it would be 'triggering' for me, to read a poem that expresses racist views ' they are coming to our country, ' taking our jobs ' etc etc... It was just assumed that I would have the emotional bandwidth to handle being reminded of the open racism on the streets of England when I was a child and had hostility and aggression directed at me, by teenage youths/grown-up-males.
