Thank you Gail... that is more affirming than anything from my family of origin!

I've spent my whole life, taking care care of my parents more than myself, and becoming exhausted, ill, losing various opportunities for work/travel/ relationships... and not one moment of an honest appreciation... or even basic respect.

Still they are better than the parents who kill their daughter for not complying with the arranged marriage scenario!!!
