I don't think anyone in their right mind/sane would kidnap 3 year olds ... but there are other analysts better informed than myself who track the toll of carpet bombing civilian areas across many many years, including in 2008, and those kids who survived, often as orphans, are the ones joining Hamas these days.

Also, let's not forget that Hamas has been founded and funded by the Israeli state.
