Thank you for writing this article that honors the courage and tremendous sacrifices of the older generations of people who moved to the West. It needs to be said that it is because of the predatory actions of Euro-Americans that so many people seek to leave those countries and then get caught in the contradiction of working in the country that has and is oppressing theirs.

Now more than ever, the offspring of those migrants ought to develop a world consciousness and resist loyalty to a the genocidal war machine that comprises the core of Western 'civilisation' and is causing ecocide to an unprecedented degree. Loyalty to such a violating culture is simple insanity while loving your oppressor surely represents some form of the Stockholm syndrome.
