Thank you for writing about the loneliness epidemic in the Western societies.
While intellectuals, the media and everyone with a smartphone view West European culture and its offshoots, in the USA, Australia etc, as 'modern, advanced', developed, I feel the essential barbarism underlying it's projector of 'development', is exposed in that so many children are alienated, flitting between their divorced parents, or bunkered up in their bedrooms with all the devices but none of the comfort that loving , human contact provides.
Having met youth from the exploited impoverished majority World regions, I realised they were so unconsciously confident and deep-rooted in their sense of a loving connection to their parents and the wider community of neighbours and relatives.
