Over the last few years, it’s become commonplace for accusations of antisemitism to be thrown at anyone criticising Israel. What makes this trend bizarre is that criticising a country's actions or policies is entirely different from spreading hate about the dominant religion in a country. The UK Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn, a well-known supporter of Palestine's cause for a free independent state were attacked ferociously with this most toxic of labels.

Thank you for having the courage to speak out on this. The muzzling of all disscusion is certainly playing into the hands of the most oppressive, well-equipped army to massacre unarmed citizens, adn break internaational law, and get away with it again and againn, day after day, week after week, and year after year. This is causing not only physical death but also massive levels of trauma in each generation of those who have survived israels' military attacks. With th eexcpetion of Hama's rather basic rockets, the Palestinians have had only stones to throw at tanks demolishing their homes. Carnage is being caused by the most sophisticated weaponry, America's money can buy. If anyone has the temerity to quetions israel's might, there arises a chorus of well-rehearsed voices crying wolf ... opps, I mean, 'Anti-Semitic' there will be endless references to the Holocuast, adn as we flounder and fall in guilt-tripped mode, the Palestinians' vicious victimisation is again, ignored.
