Thank for explaining Kathy. What I am trying to do by using the term ' Whyte' is to differentiate from the positives associated with the colour 'white' which the invaders and enslavers originating for Europe, used to cast themselves with a connection to concepts of 'fairness, cleanliness, goodness, justice;.

As you know, they called African the continent of 'darkness', and people of colour, 'Black' and those terms they have associated with all that is evil, unclean and bad... so we get derivatives such as 'blackmail'.

You are a Whyte person because on a systemic level, you benefit from centuries of whyte supremacy. If you are going for a run/ do a petty theft/ run a red light you will be treated differently than a Black guy whose life is likely in danger. Ok?

I'm surprised I have to spell it out to you.

Yes spirituality is all very good and on the abstract levee, yes we are all equal. But our lives are not lived in abstractions, but social-political and economic realities which determine a higher mortality rate for say, black mothers then whyte, higher rape figures for Black women than whyte etc etc.

These re the realities you can choose to pretend don't exist, but racism - as a woman of colour, is a force in my life, that I can't ignore.

I didn't create this reality. - your ancestors did, and your political systems maintain this worldwide system of oppression.
