Every single Sunday, it appears, the whole extended family comes home. They look like they probably just left church. They set up tables in their garage and backyard. They cook things on a giant grill that smell so good I have to restrain myself from learning how to ask, “May I please have some of your food?” in Spanish. They play mariachi music. I feel I’m missing out on a great party.
