Sorry, perhaps I should have explained, but in recent years, there's been a lot of a socio-political discourse about whiteness being a CONCEPT; it is separate from actual human beings, though applied to human beings.... the status and all the benefits and privileges of that status are human constructs, rather separate from biological and physical reality... so for instance when the South Africans were applying apartheid rules, and they wanted to seal a trade deal with the Japanese they made it known that the Japanese are 'honorary whites'.

When Maori sportsmen /Black Americans, were going to play rugby/tennis etc, they would also be given 'honorary white status'.

There is an article on Wikipedia on this topic... Also, historically, their was not a concept of races until, the Europeans invented them, to justify dehumanising all those defined as non-white.

Concerning your second point, I must thank you for giving me food for thought relating to XR and the impact of rising energy costs on a global scale... The context of my distress is that,

MILLIONS of non-Europeans have already perished, and millions more are expected to perish as a direct consequence of the policies applied by the West over the past 70 or so years...

My point was really expressing frustration, with how people in the west will not make changes to their habits and living standards, unless it affects their damn pockets. Ethical concerns relating to justice simply do not figure, except for a tiny minority.
