Sorry but that's a terrible simplification of the situation. Russia has been baited and provoked into attacking Ukraine to defend itself for the multiplicity of arms and military bases that have been positioned around its borders... If the USA and NATO had kept to the treaties signed in the 1990's, there would be no need for weapons to Ukraine.
