Sadly this is painfully true. I'm thinking of a series of situations I was cheated big time - two friends stepped in plus my retired philosophy teacher to lend me £9,000 but nothing from my mother and brother. Of coursse I paid everything back as soon as i could. But family members' behaviour was a shock.
