Sadly most mothers I know excuse their own responsibility/weakness/desire to be supported financially/gain societal approval for being in a nuclear family rather than adit even to themsevlves, they let their children down by staying in a violating situation.

It takes tremendous maturity and strenght to face up to our own role in being complicit , and I admire you for doing that in tis public forum.
