Personally, I have found this is one of the advantages of submitting articles to publications whose aims you resonate with - you another person in the role of editor, sharing their perspective and showing where you may need to expand on something , make a change for clarity's sake etc.

Mind you, editors on some publications don't respond for a week, others publish your article without a single clap or comment! Be prepared for a wide range of responses and approaches.
