An elderly gent was my friend (sadly he has passed ). Denis was a real gentleman, and like you, he was a young man during World War II. He told me of the experiments done on young soldiers, locking them in a room, after making sure they’d chatted to the pretty receptionist… it was manipulation of their sense of masculinity, to motivate them to see how long they could stay in the room while exposed to a gas… They entered the room as volunteers, but they had not been told the nature of the experiment or the long term effect of the gas they ere exposed to. Hypocritical old politicians, who have themselves dodged the draft, along with their business-minded, military chiefs, care little for their own soldiers whom they wilingly send to their deaths. So we should not be surprised when they are wetting themselves with excitement over th eprospet of testing out new weapons on their enemy’s civilian population.
Growing up in th UK, it’s been a shock to me, to learn that the very same time that the USA and its allies keep talking about democracy and human rights, they have also been assassinating/deposing democratically elected leaders all over the world. Eg Patrice Lumumba, Allende of Chile — basically wherever you see a dictatorship, you see the Wests’ dirty hand behind the scenes. For instance, Saudi Arabia — who put that sociopathic Saudi clan in power? What about the whole of the Gulf ‘states’, like the UAE, Bahrain, Oman etc ? The same is true of numerous ‘regimes’, funded and trained by the CIA across Africa and Latin America.
Did the centres of the so-called ‘advanced democracies, care that the journalist Jamal Khasoggi was butchered because he called for change that would empower citizens in the direction of social justice and democracy in Saudi Arabia? Did you ever wonder why Iraq was being bombed to smitereens, while th e9/11 bombers werre all from Saudi Arabia? Do you care that for centureis, genocide has been committed so Europeans could take over land you call America? Surely from its founding days to the present, it’s the most catastrophic entity in the history of humanity, consuming, polluting and bombing to smithereens, all opposition. And willing to experiment on whole populations of civilians in order to maintain its ‘spheres of influence’ or rather, domination.Your generation are leaving behind a toxic planet, with whole species on the brink of extinction. The half life of plutonium is 50,000 years. There is no amount tha tis not toxic. this is the heritage that Western ‘development’ and its militarised society has bequeathed.
