My older sister married and had two children before I'd left university. She was pregnant with her third child and last child when she left her husband and came back to our parents' house. She expected her husband to come and apologise and take her back. Instead he never visited her again, and abandoned the children too. It was then that all her resentment and malice came out against myself and our younger sisters at school/college. Jealousy and envy are ugly and destructive emotions! Too many of the women who have had children dare not even voice their regrets for dreams abandoned and oppportunities lost for ever.
