The memory of mum’s lullabies
Brought tears to my eyes
How is it that the sons of mothers
So easily kill, those of others?

It starts with the toys placed in their hands
Pirates and princes invading lands
Soldiers with spears, knives and guns
Tools for bloodshed are labelled, good clean fun.

Every patriarchy is the blood-drenched same
Gearing up boys to be sacrificial lambs an’ get slain
Girls are taught to smile, act nice, and nurture life
Boys are brought up upon fights and all sorts of stupid strife

But once upon a time there was a world
In which insults about women’s genitalia, were unheard
The portal from which new Life appeared
Was worshipped and truly revered

No Mother allowed her son to build the tomb
To kill the son, from another Womb
Sons’ greater strength was for service, enshrined
And domination of womanhood was the greatest of…
