Most Muslim women I know have not been allowed to become adults. The culture and religion forbid it. If you as a woman make decisions on your own, contrary to th every narrow definition s of beign a good woman (obedient to parents accepting arranged marriage then obedient to husband and in laws) ,,you are treated like pariah.
