… also undermining the space for the critical study of Israel and Palestine within Hebrew University. Rather than creating a hostile environment for her research, the university ought to be supporting Shalhoub-Kevorkian during this difficult time, when her life and well-being are endangered as a result the vicious crackdown on academic freedom within Israel and beyond.

It's quite shocking how those we respect as intellectuals, can demonstrate the crudest mobbing mentality.
They seek to silence, and harm, not through crude physical means like knives and bullets, but through repetitional damage and taking away someone's livelihood.
