It's interesting how even people critical of Western'advanced' societies still generalise and make a huge conceptual leap from a few power-hungry, morally-deranged politicians and scientists. The responsibility for their actions gets shifted to the whole of humanity! It's akin to blaming the victim for the perpetrators crime. No, 'humanity' is not responsible for this 'development' it is the cancer of the Anglo-American Empire that has continued to externalise all the social and environmental costs of its thirst for power and control of resources.
