It's a good thing. Don't overlook the fact that the Europeans have wrought havoc on every land they have invaded and 'settled', committing multiple genocides in the process, for the past 500 years.

They care little for the mayhem that their so-caled 'developed' status (read polluting and life-destroying ways) are impacting everyone . Now that they are suffering droughts/wildfires and a degree of food shortages, maybe they will realise they are not the apex of human civilisation, and that they need to change their psychopathic ways, if their own grandchildren are going to have a liveable future.
