It profits the NATO countries a LOT, to continue weapons selling, so no they are not interested in peace. Waging war is in their DNA, it's how they gained land and resources over the past 500 years. They are addicted to fomenting conflict, preferably beyond their own borders, using a few bribed leaders to create a wedge of splits within a population.
