It is so VERY RARE to read an honest analysis of privilege like this.

We struggle most to face and then acknowledge how the benefits of our privilege came not only from having a leg up over other races denied these privileges but because we, the large White we, put other races in the position of supplying what we needed. Our privilege stands on the backs of other people. And this means our success does, too. This is a painful pill, but it’s true. Denying it does not help us grow, or Love.
