I wonder why this person feels the need to police your self-expression?

…Facebook friend, someone I’ve known since my kids were young, said she couldn’t get past the title. To her, claiming the title “revolutionary mama” is egotistical — especially because I’m a privileged whyte* woman. She explained why she (also a whyte woman) is more revolutionary than me but would still never claim such a title. She’s been an activist longer than me and is facing felony charges for a protest act.

I wonder why this person feels the need to police your self-expression? She is positioning herself as above you, as if in a competitive ranking.
Sadly this is what the educational system is all about and she reveals her adherance to this power structure, by her words to you.
