I was really blessed to meet Kitty as she was such a kind, principled and honest woman. She also worked diligently as treasurer for the Quaker meeting house, and was always doing other voluntary things. We went to book readings -which I really like, and museums as she loved local history....
Her daughter had gone to Oxford or something, and she had sided with her father in this contemptuous treatment of her mother (Kitty act that time did not have a degree). Just ridiculous !
But it was painful to see what a wound that had left... so anyway, she completed her BA in Local History and went abseiling and all sorts of adventures, once she left the marriage.
Thanks for your thoughtful response... This is what I most enjoy about being on Medium !
