I' ve just starting to find my way around Medium and wasn't really clear about the significance of publications, other than that you are writing to a broad-based theme and cn develop connectons with specific writers/editors. But I'm wondering, so long as good writing with new under-heard perspectives and ideas is being written, does it matter whether it's within the umbella of a publication or not?
