I think the same bifurcation and splitting has occurred in perhaps all the religions/human societies , including Islamic. So there are thinkers like Rumi and Al Maari, critical of leaders using people's gullibility to exploit them.

Those caliphs who did seek to expand and establish Islam violently in others' territories are obviously of the same ilk as the Zionists and the Europeans 'settling' Turtle Island for example. This is what I mean about the psychopathic mindset being in 2-5 % of every human population.
